Breath Assessment

Your breath is the foundation of a strong core and mobile body. Find out what your breath should feel like and discover how it may be causing back pain, pelvic dysfunction, or even shoulder and neck pain! You will also learn how the way you breathe may be contributing to anxiety and general tension in your body and mind.

Learn Multiple Breathing Techniques

You may not have known that there are different types of breath, which is no surprise to me. Let me ask you this…have you taken a full deep breath today?

In this workshop you are going to learn 2 main types of breathing. One will help you connect to your core so that you move better. The other is to support your nervous system and bring a sense of calm.

 

Core Breath Connection

Did you know that your ribcage is essential to your core strength? It is and your breath is vital to a ribcage that functions well.

Get ready to strengthen your core with some oh-so-effective breathwork that feels like a breath of fresh air. 😉

This is not the belly breathing you learned in yoga class.

  • YES! This class is going to help you find dysfunctions and work in different positions that will help you customize a breath work plan for yourself.

  • YES! I spend a lot of time with new clients, relearning to breathe. If there was one thing I wish they had learned before working with me, it is this! The better breather you are, the better foundation you have for challenging exercises.

  • Please dress comfortably and in layers. The temperature in my space sometimes is a little chilly.

  • It will be held in the space I train in Troy, MI.

  • Please wear comfortable clothes for exercise. No jeans or clothing that is constricting to movement. Wear gym-type shoes, and please bring a mat.

  • Please bring a mat, water and a notepad in case you would like to jot some things down. Also, dress or bring layers in case you get cold.
